Hello Sunshine!

After a Blizzard of a week in west Texas, things have drastically changed! Today the high is 85 DEGREES and I couldn't think of a better day to go to the PARK!
Our first day at the park in 2011

Santa Clause

On Thursday I took the boys to go see Santa Clause!
Aren't they precious in their matching shirts!
Santa: Carter, what do you want for Christmas?
Carter: I dunno.
Santa: Have you been a good boy this year?
Carter: I dunno.
Collin's first time in Santa's lap!
He loved looking at Santa, I think he was trying to plot how to get a hold of his beard!

Sesame Street Live

On Wednesday we went with our friends the Ryden's to go see Sesame Street Live!
As you can see the boys were not interested in taking their picture!
Canyon, Skyler, and Carter waiting anxiously for the show to begin!
Big Bird!
The cast singing and dancing!
Skyler trying to bum popcorn off Carter because her Mommy told her she couldn't have any! Too cute!

We had a great time and Carter loved telling Daddy all about the BIG ERNIE and the BIG ElMO.

Our Trip to Weatherford!

Last week the boys and I spent the week at my parent's house. My brother and his family came down for the weekend and we had a great time letting our kiddos play. My Mimi was also at my Mom's so I enjoyed spending precious time with her as well. Here are some pictures of our week in Weatherford:

Collin with his Aunt Lauren

Aunt Lauren and the cousins playing...

Carter and Katelyn being sweet

Uncle Blake reading the boys stories before bed!

Carter pretending that the tinker toys are tools and his undie's are his tool belt....

this kept my parents and I laughing all night

Friends

The boys are doing great. They are both growing like crazy.

Look at that smile.... priceless!

My sweet boys!

Always so Happy!

Cheese!
(Don't you just want to squeeze him?)

When I found out I was pregnant with Collin I felt like I was jumping on the band wagon. I had several friends who were pregnant at the same time. My childhood best friend, Kristina, had her little boy three weeks before Collin.

Rivers and Collin

Rivers, Carter, Collin

Out of my group of girlfriends from church four or us were all pregnant at the same time. So we now have four babies all within 6 months of each other. Collin is the only boy so he will have a great selection of girls to choose from. The youngest baby, Rebecca, was born just a week and a half ago. The other night was our first oppurtunity to have all the babies together.

Addison, Brooke, Collin, Rebecca
(What a ladies man!)

In order from oldest to youngest.

My friend Lesley had her little girl Brooke just 7 weeks before I had Collin. I have already planned an arranged marriage between the two of them. ;) So I always love to get pictures of them together. Here is how it played out........

Collin checking pretty Brooke out....

Brooke leaning in to go for the steal......
(She is thinking that paci looks pretty good!)

Collin-"What just happened here?"
Brooke- "What?, I don't have anything in my hands!"

Collin- "Did she really just steal my paci?"
Brooke- "Give me a break, my Mommy doesn't give me one of these things!" (LOL)
Cupcake- "Anything for you, sweet thang!"

Water Day!

Day Out at the POOL!

Playing in the tunnel. Carter was quite apprehensive so he didn't start to play until about 30 minutes after we were there. He wanted to sit on the bench. I told him we didn't come to the pool to sit on the bench. It just takes him awhile to warm up to things.

Carter splashing around with his friend Kaleb!

We went to Washington pool which has a great kids play pool!

Carter liked trying to splash me while I was holding the camera! Probably not a good idea.

This was about as far in the water as he was willing to go!

Summer Time Fun

Today we made our first adventure to the pool for the summer. My childhood best friend lives at an apartment complex with an amazing pool. It feels like you are at a resort. They have a big shallow end that is only about a foot deep so I just knew that Carter was going to have a great time. It took me 2 hours to get us all dressed, packed, fed, and out the door this morning. I am still trying to get it together. That has been the biggest adjustment about having two kids, trying to get us ready and loaded in the car. We made it to the pool and Collin was napping peacefully in the shade while Carter on the other hand wanted nothing to do with the water. He felt like it would be more fun to throw all the rocks in the water. I finally just picked him up and made him get in. He warmed up to after a little while. Once Kristina (my BFF) started to play catch with him he thought the water was pretty fun after all. So the morning was going well. I was getting a tan, Carter was playing, and Collin was napping. That is until Carter slipped on the step and went under water for a minute. He did not think that was fun. He wanted to get out of the pool after that. Not only did he want to get out of the pool he wanted to let me know about every 10 seconds that he had "fell in the pool". Swimming was over at this point but now Collin was up and ready to eat. I don't know about you but how are you supposed to nurse a baby in a bathing suit without completely exposing yourself to the world.  I had a halter top on and it was near impossible. Someone needs to come up with a nursing bathing suit. I finally just gave up and made a trip inside to finish feeding. We were worn out so we packed up to leave. (which takes another 30 minutes)But not without trying to capture a few pictures. You can see below how well that went. None the less, we had fun. It was another adventure in the Mommy World I live in.

The boys and I at the pool, it's near impossible to get a pictures with both of them!

Puddin enjoying the peanut butter off the crackers.

Cupcake working on his tan! (don't worry he was in the shade most of the time)

My bestie since we were 3 years old with our baby boys.

Rivers and Collin; they are only 3 weeks apart..
