It's Coming Along....

Well the house is coming along slowly but surely. Grandpa, Chris, and whoever they have hired for the weekend, have been working on leveling the house for weeks now. Since the house is so old it is on peer and beam. So they have to get underneath the house to level it. It ended up taking much longer than they expected. But we are happy to say that it is done now. As you can tell from below lots of demolition has taken place as well. Scrapping popcorn, scrapping wallpaper, tearing up carpet, tearing out cabinets, and I'm sure more stuff that I'm not aware of. It is exciting. New windows have been ordered so that will be one of the next projects.

Check out those walls....
Since the walls are concrete they are cracking really bad. Where the cracks are you have to knock the concrete off in order to patch them. I think? I don't really understand. That man in the yellow (my father-in-law) has all the answers.

This is the back bathroom..... they have pulled out the sink and toilet.

This is the enormous bookshelf that we can't decide what to do with. Well actually I think we have decided, we are going to dismount it and move it to the playroom. It will be a great place to store books, toys, and baskets.

This is the kitchen, it looks like there is a dead body in my kitchen.
O wait that is just Grandpa!

This is one of my favorite things in the entire house. Isn't that arch way beautiful. We are going to stain it to match the floors.

This is Carter in one of the holes that goes under the house.

Chris and Carter digging a hole for the new sewage line!

Grandpa giving directions.... (He is the BOSS)

Carter would fill up a bucket with dirt and then ask Daddy to come empty it for him outside. They are quite the team!

He was quite irritated with me for trying to take pictures,  He said "Mommy stop..I workin.."

Do They Look Alike?

I have been trying to decide if the boys look alike. At first I didn't think so at all but as Collin get older I see more and more similarities.

This is a picture of Chris when he was 2 weeks old. I think Collin looks a lot like him.

Carter the day he was born. 6 pounds 1 ounce! Look at that dark hair. He had a head full of it.

Collin the day after he was born. 7 pounds 2 ounces (and 2 weeks early)! He on the other hand is our blondie.

Psalm 139:14

I praise you God, for Collin is fearfully and wonderfully made! Psalm 139:14

These hands will.......

Grasp onto my finger

Hold my hand as he takes his first steps

Cover his eyes to play peek-a-boo

Hold his brother's hand as they walk across the street

These hands will.......

Fold together to pray at night

Be raised high to praise his God

Shake the hand of a stranger

Salute a soldier

These hands will........

Wear a ring on his wedding day

Hold my grandbabies

These hands were created beautifully because they were created by
THE CREATOR!

Water Day!

Day Out at the POOL!

Playing in the tunnel. Carter was quite apprehensive so he didn't start to play until about 30 minutes after we were there. He wanted to sit on the bench. I told him we didn't come to the pool to sit on the bench. It just takes him awhile to warm up to things.

Carter splashing around with his friend Kaleb!

We went to Washington pool which has a great kids play pool!

Carter liked trying to splash me while I was holding the camera! Probably not a good idea.

This was about as far in the water as he was willing to go!
