These were his 1 year old pictures. He wasn't a happy camper. Aww and look how cute he was with his paci!
Here he is at his 1st birthday party. He was ready to dig in.
This is the day of his 2nd birthday. We went to Chuck E Cheese. He had so much fun.
He got to work on his basketball skills with Daddy. Look at that form!
Friday was Carter's 2nd birthday. I can't believe it. That my precious baby boy is 2 years old. I can't even wrap my brain around where the time has gone. We got out pictures from the day he was born and showed them to him as well as the pictures of everyone who came to see him. I don't know that he knew that the baby in those pictures was him or not but he still had fun looking at them. As I shifted through all of those memories the reality that they don't stay babies forever sank in very deeply. We have gone from nursing, pasi's, sippy cups, baby bed, and stroller to talking, using a juice box, big boy bed, and singing. And before we know it the diapers will be gone too. Every milestone is quickly followed by another and before you know it your approaching their second birthday party. I feel so blessed that we have been given the opportunity to experience all these things again with our next little one but a since of sadness still lingers when I think about how fast the time has gone. He and I have our "Special Time" when he wakes up after nap and is still really groggy. We sit in the rocker and rock until he has had the chance to really wake up. The past week as we have spent that time together I try to absorb every minute. Because I know that there are only a few months left where it will just the two of us. O, how all our lives are about to change!
